“Basically, how are your cabinets constructed?”
A quality-conscious buyer, Glen Ellyn, IL
ALL WOOD CONSTRUCTION is utilized. Any part not made of solid lumber
is made of hardwood plywood. All sides, bottoms, tops and hanging rails
are ¾” hardwood plywood, and backs are ¼”.
CABINET INTERIORS have natural maple veneers. All are specially finished
with three sealer coats and two heat-hardened acrylic top coats,
providing for durability and easy cleaning.
DRAWERS are made of 5/8 solid maple and dovetail joined at all corners.
The 1/4 plywood bottoms are grooved into the sides as a unified body.
The undermount drawer gliding system features 4 surface ball bearings.
FRAMES are mortise-and-tenon-joined. The sides, bottoms and tops of
cabinets are tongue-and-groove-joined into the backs of cabinet frames.
This traditional joint is the strongest construction possible.

potential new client . Chicago, IL
Once a client determines our product fits their needs, lead times and delivery service becomes the deciding factor. This is where Joliet Cabinet has a huge advantage. Our manufacturing facility is only 40 miles from downtown Chicago. The majority of our legitimate competitors are out of state. This can add up to two or three weeks to their lead times. Also, Joliet Cabinet has always put quality above volume. While this attention to detail may take some additional time, it is our focus on quality over volume that sets Joliet Cabinet apart. Typically companies producing a product competitive with ours have lead times ranging from 12 to 20 weeks. Our lead times remain steady six to nine weeks, and since we have our own trucks and drivers, product can be delivered within days of completion.
Why are your cabinets better than other manufacturers'?
